- Since Singapore is a prime
tourist destination
Singapore hotels are in
constant demand.
Hotel Singapore means first
which part of the city,
second which price range and
third what does the hotel
offer. If you are on a
business trip it might be
useful to stay around Marina
Bay since the financial
district is close by, that
means Pan Pacific Hotel,
Marina Mandarin, Oriental
Hotel or maybe the new
Marina Bay Sands but be
aware it is almost
impossible to walk to the
Sands, its pure car
oriented. Located around the
Central Business District
and including Suntec City
plus the Singapore
Convention Center, all of
this hotels have shopping
malls integrated or close
by.
If you are rather interested
in Singapore shopping,
better use a hotel on
Orchard Road or
accommodation at one of the
hotels branching off Orchard
such as Hyatt Hotel, Holiday
Inn, or maybe Central
Station Hotel. There are
dozens of Orchard hotels
Singapore, among others the
Orchard Hotel, Hilton, Le
Meridien, Marriott etc.
There is one constant on
hotel prices in Singapore,
they closer it gets to
Orchard Road, the higher the
prices climb. Actually
almost in any part of the
Lion City are hotels and it
wont matter finally where
your accommodation is since
with the SMRT Singapore and
taxi most places on the
island are reachable within
about 30 minutes.
A interesting area to stay
is Clarke Quay, with plenty
of hotels around. This is
along the Singapore River
and probably the best
nightlife area in the city.
Dozens of restaurants, bars
and nightclubs are around;
life music is on at several
bars and open air concerts
are almost every evening at
the center of Clarke Quay
area.
There are
several luxury
resorts and
one of them with
a casino on
Sentosa Island,
the other casino
hotel is Marina
Bay Sands. |
